A perfect quote for an endurance walker. Even when completing a half-marathon with friends, there are moments when we have to honor our own pace, our own mental space. We drift behind or walk slightly ahead to check in with our bodies and manage our mind. Sometimes I even prefer the solitude of a half-marathon walk within a crowd.
Whatever you wish to accomplish. Wherever you want to go. Whomever you hope to be. It will all take place with you inside the same body suit you are wearing now. Might as well take care of it.
Half-marathons give me an opportunity to hear all the ways that little scary, fearful voice will attempt to talk me out of doing what I came here to do.
